Terms of Service

You sign up with an email address and a password and confirm the address with a code we send to it.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity under your account and the seats you invite.

Information you give us must be accurate. Tell us promptly at support@statementsconverter.com if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Each seat is for one named person. Seats may not be shared.

The service is sold as monthly or yearly subscriptions. Prices are shown on the pricing page at statementsconverter.com/pricing.

Subscriptions are charged in advance at the start of each billing period and renew automatically until cancelled.

Yearly subscriptions are charged once for the whole year. Invoice billing is available on yearly Business plans.

Prices exclude any sales tax, VAT or similar tax, which is added where the law requires it.

We may change prices for future billing periods. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we announce it by email before your next renewal.

Each plan includes a number of pages per billing period. A page is one page of an uploaded statement that the service processes.

Pages are counted as usage within the billing period. Deleting a file, a statement or an export does not return the pages it used.

Unused pages do not carry over to the next billing period. The allowance resets at the start of each period.

When the allowance is used up, conversions pause until the next period or until you move to a plan with a larger allowance.

When you move to a more expensive plan or from monthly to yearly billing, the difference for the rest of the current period is charged immediately, and the new plan starts once that payment succeeds.

If the payment fails, your account stays on its current plan.

When you move to a cheaper plan, the change takes effect at the next renewal, and no refund is issued for the current period.

You can cancel your subscription at any time in account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal.

Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then the account moves to an inactive state.

Cancellation does not refund the current period. Refunds are covered by the refund policy at statementsconverter.com/refund-policy.

You may upload only statements that you own or that you are authorized to process, for example as the accountant, bookkeeper or lender of the account holder.

You may not use the service to break any law, to process documents you obtained unlawfully, or to create, alter or forge financial documents.

You may not attempt to access other accounts, probe or overload the service, reverse engineer it, resell access to it without written permission, or bypass page allowances and plan limits.

API access on Business is subject to reasonable rate limits described in the API documentation.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

You keep all rights to the statements you upload and the files you export.

You give us permission to process your files only as needed to provide the service to you.

We do not use your files to train AI models. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy at statementsconverter.com/privacy.

Files are deleted automatically according to the retention period of your plan, 24 hours after conversion by default. Keep your own copies of anything you need.

Conversion relies on reading documents that vary in layout and quality. The balance check reduces the chance of a missing or wrong row but cannot rule it out.

You must review the converted data before you post it to a ledger, file a tax return, make a lending decision or rely on it in any other way.

The service does not provide accounting, tax, legal or credit advice, and its output is not a credit decision or score.

We work to keep the service available at all times. Business plans include a 99.9 percent monthly uptime commitment, and the remedy for a missed commitment is described in the plan terms shown in account settings.

We may carry out maintenance, and we schedule planned work for low-traffic hours where possible.

Except as stated in these terms, the service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from these terms or the service.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to cover claims brought by third parties against the operator that arise from files you uploaded without authorization or from your breach of these terms.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer and data protection rules of your place of residence still apply where the law requires.

Before starting any formal proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve a dispute in good faith by email for at least 30 days.
